I use a lot of miniatures for (primarily D&D) illustrating marching order that lead into encounters. These are especially helpful for old-school wandering monster encounters or movement through narrow/confined areas. It teaches PCs the importance of properly using hirelings (torch bearers) and exploration light discipline. When used well, it can dramatically change the game play experience.

Very cute design, easy to put together, though storage has to be careful once they're assembled. I've bought more than one set, I am very pleased.

See earlier comment on lanterns. SO useful in a RPG setting.

This is the first Litko product that hasn't been extremely satisfying. The tolerance on the pieces are quite loose so it's hard to glue anything straight. I expected the acrylic to be close to snap-fit but there was plenty of wiggle room for the torches and fire to lean.

As always, the acrylic itself is great quality and this will still look great on the tabletop.
