I purchased the opaque version because my translucent markers have numbers that har too hard to read. This fill in method recommended does not work and is an unnecessary step at this price point. The opaque numbers are not much better. I chose dark colors hoping for high contrast markers and they are simply not easy to read quickly from a distance. Additionally, I purchased the upright version that have a stand so they are way to grab rather than flat on the table style. The bas and the upright portion don’t fit snuggly and require you to hold each one straight up and down until the glue dries -very annoying and completely unnecessary. For a product that is machined, precision seems like a prerequisite. I made it work and I’ll use them because I paid so much for them, but I cannot recommend these unfortunately.

The Marker Maker (10) really let's you put down markers on the table that are easy to identify and say exactly what you want.

I used the Marker Maker to create some "Untried" markers for my "For King and Parliament" English Civil War armies. I ordered orange Untried markers to see how they looked, and I really like them - these will be used for the Parliamentarian units. In the future I will order some in blue for the Royalists.

In the image, you can see the marker on the right is how it looks right when it comes out of the package. The marker on the left is after scribbling a white crayon over the engraved area (takes about 10 seconds). You can use a different contrasting crayon, of course, if you want.

You may notice some wax on the surface of the marker if you zoom into the left image. This can be cleaned off with a paper towel (not done in the image yet) and you have a great custom marker.

Can't recommend the Marker Maker (10) enough if you want custom-made markers that say and look exactly how you want - you get to pick the colors of each piece, the words, and the shapes.

Great communication and the markers look fantastic.
