Finally, a Terrain Footprint Worth Painting

Finally, a Terrain Footprint Worth Painting

Updated June 6, 2026.

If you've put real time into your terrain — painting it, basing it, making it look like it actually belongs on the table — you already know the feeling. Everything looks great until you lay down a footprint that looks like it came out of a stationery drawer.

We built something to fix that.

The LITKO MDF Terrain Footprint Set is a complete 16-piece set of laser-cut MDF footprints, sized to GW's official 11th Edition terrain layout dimensions and shaped with decorative ruined edges that give them a thematic silhouette right out of the box. Same precision. A completely different feel.

Here's what's in the set:

  • (1) MDF 11.5 x 8in LEFT Half Square Footprint
  • (1) MDF 11.5 x 8in RIGHT Half Square Footprint
  • (4) MDF 11.5 x 7in Large Terrain Footprints
  • (4) MDF 6 x 4in Medium Terrain Footprints
  • (2) MDF 10 x 2.5in Small Terrain Footprints
  • (4) MDF 6 x 2in Mini Terrain Footprints

MDF takes primer and paint beautifully. Dry brush it to match your basing, paint it to blend into your battle mat, or leave it natural — the ruined edges do enough work on their own. Heavier than acrylic, the footprints sit flat and stay put. No sliding when a model steps onto the border.

Cut to the exact dimensions, these are ready for matched play and competitive use straight out of the box. No adapting. No makeshift solutions. Just footprints that look like they belong on your table.

Putting together a full table? Our Warhammer 40K 11th Edition terrain footprints guide covers all 16 sizes and helps you pick clear acrylic vs. MDF.
