For all my miniature wargaming I use 15mm scale basing similar to DBM which is all 40mm wide rectangles. These 3mm plywood miniature bases in 15, 20, 30 and 40mm depths (rectangular and round) are consistent, precise and ready to be painted and terrained. Perfect my needs.
I also use bigger 40 and 80mm bases to mount 28mm individual RPG figures, scenes, dragons and other large creatures.

Thick bases, thick bases, that’s what I want! Fortunately, LITKO has them and I avoid grabbing my miniatures by the p***ty ends and getting stabbed, or bending spears.

I was attempting to base my DBA units on an accurate metal base I could add my vinyl magnetic material to. I probably should have checked before ordering. What I got was a very flexible vinyl like material much like the mag vinyl I use. Except, non-magnetic.What should I have ordered? I currently use a 1/16 inch (close) thick styrene.

Most of my miniature armies use these bases. Several thicknesses, magnets if you need them. Different shapes. Have I ever had even one base fall apart or be poorly cut-I can't think of one.
